While Peregrine, most often known as Perry, may not know her birth parents, she was never without family. She has spent the entirety of her life on the waves aboard the notorious pirate ship The Howling Rose, famous in these waters for its no quarter rule; one can join, or one can die. Sworn into the service of Iono, Lord of the Grasping Waters, as soon as she was old enough to understand her vows, she served as the ship's priest and, later, as second mate. A recent run-in with the Scalenian Alliance has left her apart from the ship, its crew, and most distressingly, her family.
